The Mansion on O Street

“It is the only place I stay when I visit the nation's capital. With only 22 hotel rooms, a history that dates back to the architects of the White House ... I promise you, a stay there will not be disappointing.”

-Publisher, Travel Now

“Now that Deep Throat has been uncovered, Washington's best kept secret is the O Mansion.”

-Savannah Magazine

The Mansion was the most delightful hotel experience I've ever had. Your graciousness and free spirit helped my morale immeasurably. My one big regret and stupidity was not having dinner with your chef. I'm sure they would have prepared Lucullan feasts. I could kick myself for not having that added epicurean adventure! But being your guests, loving the marvelous beds and your great company was pleasure enough. With deep affection and admiration,

"A songbook may heighten your curiosity, but reaching for it, an autographed vintage guitar calls out to be played. Crossing the room for a closer look is impossible, since hundreds of curios, treasures and artifacts are all vying for your attention. The result is a banquet for the senses and food for the artistic soul."

Tommy Shaw and Lawrence Gowan
Lawrence Gowan and Tommy Shaw of the band "Styx" took time out to play some piano tunes at The Mansion. Tommy Shaw's fondness for the Baldwin Piano goes back to the only day job he ever had when he was a Baldwin Piano salesman and accidentally delivered a grand piano meant for the late, great Lawrence Welk to an elderly woman in the Midwest. Styx is current touring several cities across America. For tour dates go to www.styxworld.com.
