Featured in National Geographic Traveler, The Mansion resides on a quiet, historical, tree-lined street in fashionable Dupont Circle. Meticulously refurbished with style & imagination, The Mansion retains many period details from the 19th and 20th centuries (including original Tiffany stained glass windows) while offering all the modern conveniences – including state-of-the art technology, guest anonymity, and security.
Q: Do I have to be a Member to stay at The Mansion?
A: No. While we offer discounts and first choice of rooms to our Members anyone can stay and enjoy our creative environment year round.
Q: What is the difference between rooms, suites and residences?
A: The Mansion and our staff are infinitely flexible -- which allows us to offer accommodations to fit any size group; from an expansive residence that includes a 100 room living space, with 23 bedrooms and 32 bathrooms, to a spectacular Penthouse Suite complete with it’s own elevator ,to a luxurious single room fit for a solitary king.
Each offering is uniquely themed like no other space in The Mansion so you will want to try them all.

Q: Someone told me every room at The Mansion has a different theme, can I choose whichever one I want?
A: It’s true! The Mansion is a hotel like no other where every room is an adventure. When you check in we will show you several options that fit your budget and try to accommodate your request; but room assignments are based on availability. We have one guests who has been coming for three years – twice a month – who has what he calls “rounds”… he has a list of rooms, based on availability, that he selects, so that each time he is in a different room. Then when he finishes his “cycle” as he calls it, he starts all over again!
How many American presidents have visited The Mansion? – all of them, since President Reagan.
Q: Do you have special rates for government employees?
A: Yes! While we are a luxury hotel we support our government and offer accommodations at the current government rate.
Q: Do you offer corporate rates?
A: We do our best to work with you and your corporation to offer comparable corporate rates — just ask!
Q: Do you offer discounts?
A: Yes, we offer a 20% discount for all or our members.
Q: I am planning a trip with a large group of people, do you offer group rates?
A: Absolutely! We offer excellent rates and some packages, just let us know how we can work with you!
Q: I will be staying in D.C. for longer than a week do you offer long term stays?
A: Sure, we love long term guests! Our flexibility, unique suites and location make The Mansion a perfect place for an extended stay. Always quiet, private and secure you will feel like you are home! Also, we are less than one block from the Dupont Circle Metro – South Exit. It is the busiest metro stop in the city, as we are so centrally located!
Q: I want to bring my pet with me to D.C. can they stay with me at The Mansion?
A: You bet! We love pets. Only pets we don’t allow are lions (yes, someone asked if they could bring their “pet” tiger and snakes without cages…).
Q: Are there designated check-in and check-out times?
A: Yes, check-in is at 3:00 and check-out is 11:00, but if you need us to be flexible just ask and we will work within your schedule. In you check in from a red-eye flight there is a $100 charge, and if you check out after 1 pm. there is a $100 charge.
Q: What happens if I have to cancel my reservation?
A: Your reservation is secured with a one night non-refundable, non-transferable deposit, so this deposit is lost.
Q: Do you offer on-site dining?
A: Yes. A full English breakfast is included with your accommodations monday - friday 7:00 am - 9:00 am, saturday 7:00 am - 10:00 am and you are welcome to join us for any of our delicious Sunday, Monday or holiday events at half price when you are staying with us. In addition, you may place a reservation for private dining or take advantage of our room service offerings.
Q: What kind of dining options are offered nearby The Mansion?
A: There are more than 25 restaurants within a one block radius of The Mansion. Sure to please every palette, you will find everything from Indian, Moroccan, pizza, sub shops, and ice cream, to fine dining that includes 5 star Italian, Thai, Japanese, Chinese, American, as well as casual and formal steak houses.

Q: Sometimes I want to prepare my own meals. Can I do that at The Mansion?
A: Many of our suites and residences are equipped with kitchens so be sure to let us know you would like one when you reserve your room. However, they are reserved only for long-terms guests. Other guests can order and have their food delivered – or we can do room service!
Q: Do you offer a work-out room?
A: One of our suites – The Fifth Dimension – has a gym in it.
Q: I will be traveling on business and will need to work in my room is that possible?
A: Yes. The Mansion is an excellent place to stay if you are on a business trip. We offer business suites that provide you space to spread out beyond your bed, wall-to-wall complimentary wireless access, two on-site business centers and a creative, relaxing and inspiring environment, conducive to work and play!
Q: Is there laundry service?
A: Yes. We offer valet laundry service. Our long term guests also have access to their own laundry facility.
Q: Can I have visitors while I am staying at The Mansion?
A: Absolutely. We encourage you to share your experience at The Mansion with your friends and family while you are here. But be aware, we employ a very strict privacy and anonymity policy to all of our guests so, unless they know your specific password they will not be transferred to your room or allowed past the front door.
Q: Do you have smoking and smoke free rooms?
A: Yes. We have options for both. In fact The Mansion is equipped with a state-of-the-art air circulation and purification system that allows for constant clean air throughout our hotel. Learn more
Q: Do you have transportation to the airport and local attractions?
A: We are located in the heart of the city just a block from the Metro which can take you to any of the local sites as well as Reagan National Airport and BWI. There is also door-to-door taxi service that can be arranged. If additional transportation is required we would be happy to arrange that for you. Learn more
Q: Do you provide hair dryers in the rooms?
A: No. As part of our environmentally friendly policy we do not offer hair dryers in our rooms. In fact we have several contracts with green organizations that prohibit us from having them. You can bring your own. We are just prevented from providing them!
Q: I suffer from allergies do you have allergen free linens?
A: Yes. We offer allergen free linens and pillows. In fact, we offer many specialty linens and pillows — from silk to specific thread counts; if you have a preference just ask and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Q: If I need medical attention, what services are available to me?
