H.H. Leonards-Spero Bio
H.H. Leonards-Spero is the founder and executive chairman of The Mansion on O Street. The Mansion was founded in 1980 as a non-profit enterprise whose higher purpose is to provide a unique forum where clients come to learn from one another and foster the development of diversity, the creative process and the human spirit. Clients and members represent Fortune 50 corporations, not-for-profit institutions, and government organizations. The Mansion’s guiding philosophy is “Let Imagination Be Your Hope.”

Through her work at The Mansion, Mrs.Leonards-Spero has been instrumental in helping to raise millions of dollars for many charitable organizations yearly, with particular emphasis on inner city education, the arts, and health care.

In addition to her position at The Mansion, Mrs. Leonards-Spero was the Executive Director of The Enterasys Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Enterasys Networks. In this capacity Mrs. Leonards-Spero was responsible for the distribution of more than $100 million of computer equipment and services, globally.

Throughout her professional career, Mrs. Leonards-Spero has focused on making it economically feasible for corporations to leverage their philanthropic contributions for their benefit and the benefit of society. She has worked to encourage individuals to translate their personal visions into a mission of service to humanity. In this capacity Mrs. Leonards-Spero has also founded the O Street Museum Foundation, and the Winged O Society, A Global Philanthropic Association.

Mrs. Leonards-Spero is a quiet creative visionary whose results are internationally recognized. Founder of The Mansion On O Street, HH Leonards Associates and former head of Creative Services for several Fortune 100 companies, Mrs. Leonards-Spero's expertise is focused in the areas of design, construction management, and branding.

Mrs. Leonards-Spero is also a member of several Boards including:

  • Columbia Women’s Hospital, Washington, D.C.
  • Mildred Alberg Trust, Miami, Florida
  • Rock N’ Roll Museum and Library, Cleveland, Ohio
  • Rosa Parks Museum and Library, Montgomery, Alabama
  • Sequoia Foundation, New York City

Mrs. Leonards-Spero was recognized as Purdue University’s Alumni of the Year in 2000.
